The story started when a couple from Europe rented a motor home in Vancouver and drove to Tatuk Lake. Upon check in, they made it clear that they did not want to see any bears.

A guest from cabin #3 said that at supper time he heard a bit of a commotion and looked out to see a grizzly bear looking into the windows of the motor home. Norm’s dogs were barking and the dogs and bear chased each other around the resort. Norm came out of the house with his rifle and fired a warning shot over the bears head. The bear ran for the treeline, but turned around and came back fast. Norm managed to chamber another round and dropped the bear in its tracks 10 ft. away!
